Miller Grove Volunteer Fire Department Holds Lunch Meeting with Community on Sunday to Discuss the Option of an Emergency Service District

May 27th, Miller Grove Volunteer Fire Department hosted a Hamburger Lunch, discussing with the community, the pressing issues pertaining to the financials of the Volunteer Fire Departments of Hopkins County and the lack of help from Commissioners Court. At this junction, with little support from Commissioners Court, we opened up the option of an Emergency Service District to the community. At this point, what we need from our community, is to lean heavy on the Commissioners and Commissioners court, to move forward with a financial plan to benefit the protection of the county. A presentation has been made to Commissioners Court of several avenues to mitigate this issue, but at this time no response has been given from Commissioners or Commissioners Court. With this being said, please become a voice to back the Volunteer Fire Departments in their time of struggle as the Volunteer Fire Departments are there in your time of need.
