Public Invited to Attend United States Police Canine Association Region 20 Certification and Field Trials on Thursday April 12th

This next week the Sulphur Springs Police Department, Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department and Cumby Police Department will be hosting the United States Police Canine Association Region 20 Certification and Field Trials. There will be Police Canines from all over Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. This trial will certify canines in patrol, narcotics and explosive detection. The public is invited to watch Thursday, April 12th at Coleman Park, Field #1. They will begin roughly at 8 a.m. and conclude mid afternoon. During this time the public will be able to see the obedience, agility, suspect search and criminal apprehension (bite work) portion of the certification.
