From Cumby ISD:

The Elementary Student Council hosted a fundraiser, “Pennies for Patients”, for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in March. Mrs. Roman’s Kindergarten class raised the most money out of all the elementary classes. They raised $200, and will get to go on a field trip to the Cumby park to play and eat pizza. Our school wide goal was $1,500, we raised $1,446. The Student Council donated $54 to help us earn our school goal of $1,500 goal. The Student Council hosted various activities to help raise funds, including the “Wall of Hope”, “Clean Out Your Console”, Popcorn, Sodas, and a movie, and having lunch with your favorite teacher. We are so thankful that our students and families were so generous, and we were able to make such a large donation to help find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma.
