Memorial service for John Patrick Petty, age 53, of Tyler, TX will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Tony McCoy officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon to 1 P.M. on Tuesday. Mr. Petty passed away on February 22, 2018 at his home.
John Petty was born July 18, 1964, to Jakie Petty, Sr. and Janice Parker Petty in Sulphur Springs. John was a mechanicand attended Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler.
He is survived by his mother, Janice Petty of Sulphur Springs; brothers, Jakie Petty, Jr. and wife, Kat, of Petal, Miss., Keith Maddox and wife, Toni of Sulphur Springs, and Michael Petty and wife, Kara of Dallas; sisters, Rhonda Tate, Vicki Newsom and husband, Jack, and Lesley Ann Owens and fiancé Chuck Grant, all of Sulphur Springs; nieces, Brooke Newsom Howard, Bailee Petty, Emily Petty, Kaitlin Maddox and Addey Ann Owens; and nephews, Michael Ray Petty, Joshua Morris, Cole Newsom, Cade Newsom, Garrett Lockhart, Mark Maddox and Peyton Howard.
Johnwas preceded in death by his father.
