Funeral service for Claude Ed Brice, age 86, of Sulphur Springs was held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Tira Cemetery with Fred McCoy, Billy Joe Clayton, Max Drummond, Steve Smith, Mason Smith and Shane Williams serving as pallbearers and Jamie Brice, Earnest “Ed” Brice and his coffee drinker friends serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held one half hour before the service. Mr. Brice passed away on February 9, 2018 at Rock Creek Health and Rehab, Sulphur Springs.
Claude Ed Brice was born on May 4, 1931 in Tira, TX, the son of Claude and Mary Dee Brice. He married Peggy Evans on June 22, 1956 in Oklahoma. Claude worked for the Dept. of Agriculture for 32 years and as a Real Estate Agent for Century 21 Home Town.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughter, Sherri Smith and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Shaunda Williams and husband, Shane, Maci Smith and Mason Smith; great grandchildren, Heidi and Mylee Williams.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents and son, Eddie Brice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
