Memorial service with military honors for David W. Hogan, age 71, of Sulphur Springs,TX, will be held at 2:00P.M. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs, TX with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating and Pastor Mark Bryant assisting and Mike Bentley, Phillip Therwhanger, Bobby Singleton, Gene White, Mike Hudson, Wayne Galyean, Tommy Johnston, John David Hogan, Conner Lee Hogan and the Military Coalition serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Mr. Hoganpassed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at his residence.

 

David William Hogan was born on July 26, 1946 in Cooper, Texas to Clarence William and Dorothy Virginia (Smith) Hogan.  He married Patricia Marie Rebie on August 14, 1971 in Sulphur Springs.  David was a Switching Technician for Verizon Communication for 40 years.  He served proudly in the Air Force and National Guard Reserve. David was a member of the First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs and the Hopkins County Military Coalition.

 

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hogan; son, John Hogan and wife, Kortney; daughter, Monica Hogan and Jeremy Robinson; grandchildren, John David Hogan, Conner Lee Hogan, Aaliyah Hogan-Hodges, Madison Hogan-Hodges, Colby Hogan-Robinson, Lexi Robinson, Jaleighsa Lino-Nunez, Emilio Lino-Nunez, Lluvia Lino-Nunez.

David was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Thomas Hogan.

The family would like to thank Legacy Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.

Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church TV Ministry or Hopkins County Military Coalition.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
