Johnathan Johnson, age 17, resident of Sulphur Springs TX and a Life rank Scout in Boy Scouts of America – Troop 322 of Greenville TX has finished his Eagle Leadership Service Project. He and his fellow Scouts in his Troop installed this flag pole at the Union Community Cemetery in Hopkins County. The project took many hours of planning, gathering supplies, and two Saturdays of leading his peers in the work to complete it. He then dedicated his project to all those in the community who have served our country in the military. The Cemetery Board Representatives were so very pleased that the cemetery now has a very nice and proper flag pole and a memorial for our Veterans. The dedication took place on Veterans Day with community Veterans in attendance. Johnathan plans to complete his Eagle Scout rank requirements in the spring of 2018, and then enlist in the United States Air Force after he graduate his senior year in 2019.
