Graveside service for Yvonne M Skelton, age 94, of Sulphur Springs,TXwill be held at 2:30 P.M. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Stinson officiating and Shane Watson, James Rater, Clark Cipoletta, Lyndon Bishop, Cayle Watson and Phillip Rater serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 P.M. on on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Ms. Skelton passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Carriage House Manor, Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Yvonne May Skelton was born on November 25, 1922 in Melbourne, Australia to John George and Anne (Sowden) Luscombe. She married Philip Raymond Skelton on December 23, 1944 in Queensland, Australia, he preceded her in death in 1997. Yvonne was a Nurse’s Aide in the nursery at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital and a member of South Liberty Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Skelton of Sulphur Springs; daughters, Sandi Watson and husband Richard of Sulphur Springs, Kristi Giglotto and husband Joe of Birmingham, Alabama; grandchildren, Kellie Renee Bailey, Kelle Lynn Edwards, Shane Watson, Shelley Rater, Lindsey Cipoletta, Lyndon Bishop, Lacey Boyd; thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Marge Green and Olive Windley.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
