Jimmy E. Lancaster, age 74, of Point, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.

A family planned Memorial Service, to celebrate his life, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 4, 2017, at United Presbyterian Church in Greenville.

Jim was born in Lampasas, TX, on March 17, 1943, to William Edward and Loene Harrell Lancaster. After graduation from Lampasas High School, Jim made the decision to join the National Guard. As a Guard Soldier he proudly served our country with the unique dual mission – serving both community and country. He was self employed most all his life and he retired after 24 years of owning his own business, Mustang Hall, in Hallettsville. Jim was a member of Bull Creek Cowboy Church in Lone Oak.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting, especially deer, dove and turkey. Jim was a good and kind man, a man of integrity who absolutely loved his family more than anything.  He will truly be missed.
