Freshman Lady Trojan Lexi Busby Advances to State in Cross Country

The Cumby Lady Trojans Cross Country Team ran at the Region II-2A Championships today at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie. Freshman, Lexi Busby, ran a personal best of 12:32.41 placing 8th qualifying her for the State meet to be run on November 4th in Round Rock. Lexi’s team finished 18th overall with freshman teammate Rylee Krotky placed 116th with a time of 15:22.61. Lexi’s big sister, senior Bailey, came in 129th with a time of 16:06.32 while fellow senior finished 149th in 17:27.71. Freshman Brooke Petty rounded out the team placing 166th with a time of 19:48.07. I am very proud of these young ladies. Who have been getting up early and running at 6:15am since August 2nd!
