According to the Associated Press a longhorn with a record horn span has been sold at Fort Worth Stockyards. The bull, from Oklahoma, has a horn span of over 8 feet. The longhorn sold for $165,000 to a couple from Fayetteville, Texas.

 CBS11 reports Texas Land & Cattle has $26 million in gift cards that are now worthless. The previous ownership of Texas Land & Cattle declared bankruptcy and new ownership could not reach a deal with the gift card distribution company.

A former head of one of the world’s largest drug trafficking cartels could face life in prison after pleading guilty Tuesday to nearly two decades’ worth of crimes. Jorge Equardo Costilla-Sanchez, 46, was the head of the Gulf Cartel  between 2003 and 2012, when he was arrested by the Mexican Navy. The FBI was at the time offering a $5 million reward for the capture of  Costilla-Sanchez, a former Matamoras police officer who eventually helped run many of the crime syndicate’s trafficking and extortion operations.
