I talked to Sheriff Tatum this morning and he told me that Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office will be sending personnel to assist with Hurricane Harvey efforts. “We’ll have 8 guys going this week and we’ll send another 8 next week.”, said Sheriff Tatum. He says they will be going to Baytown. I also texted with Police Chief Sanders who is currently organizing efforts for SSPD and SSFD. Chief Sanders said, “(I’m) working on that as we speak.” I will post an update once plans have been finalized. Let’s keep our first responders in our prayers as they go to assist with this unthinkable disaster.
