Samuel Sherman Gray, age 69, of Emory, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017.
Memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, July 20, 2017, at 2 PM, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory. His wish was to be buried at sea, therefore, there will be a United States Navy burial at sea at a later date.
Sam was born on February 5, 1948, in Oroville, CA, to Clarence Russell and Opal Juanita Reese Gray. He married Carole Ann Coate on January 23, 1977, at Virginia Beach, VA. He proudly served our country and retired from the U.S. Navy as a Master Chief Petty Officer.
