Congratulations Jaci Reed on becoming the new Dairy Festival Queen!  What a wonderful end to the Dairy Festival week!  Hopkins County is fortunate to have so many dedicated people working to make the Dairy Festival such a success.  The Chamber is thankful to the Dairy Festival for working tirelessly in all that they do!

Corner Grub House is now offering delivery during lunch hours

Corner Grub House, located at 113 Gilmer in Sulphur Springs, is now offering delivery to local businesses every day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  There will be a $1 delivery charge.  Their number is (903) 919-5058.  Order you some delicious grub today!

Summit Dental is welcoming a new Dentist to their office

Summit Dental, located at 422 Oak Avenue, is welcoming a new dentist to their office!  Dr. James Ki Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea and came to the United States at the age of three. After moving around locations such as Iowa, Arizona, Louisiana, and Texas, Dr. Lee considers Longview, Texas to be his hometown, where he graduated high school in Trinity School of Texas in 2006. After earning an undergraduate degree from Austin College in 2010, he entered dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he received his degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dr. Lee has served on various community events such as Texas Mission of Mercy and has also been involved in mission trips in countries such as Dominican Republic, Thailand, and Burma. He has recently joined Summit Dental in Sulphur Springs with the purpose of sharing his passion for dentistry with his patients and providing them with the highest quality dental care.

Support 4-H by investing in their Baked Potato Sale on Friday, June 23rd

Hopkins County 4-H is raising money for their Exchange Trip to Sanders County, Montana.  You can support 4-H by taking part in their Baked Potato Sale on Friday, June 23rd.  Lunch delivery is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and pick up will be available from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  You may pick up your baked potato lunch at the County Extension Office located at 1200 West Houston Street in Sulphur Springs.  Your $7 donation will get you a large baked potato with butter, sour cream, cheese and a dessert.  Pickup is curbside, so you don’t have to leave your car!  Thank you for your support of 4-H in Hopkins County! 

Sulphur Springs Public Library presents their Summer Reading Program for June and July

The Sulphur Springs Library is hosting a summer reading program called Knights and Princesses Summer Reading Program 2017.  Every Tuesday at 3 p.m., they offer multiplayer Minecraft. Storytime for all ages will be held on Tuesday, June 27th at 10:30 a.m. Musical Storytime with Will Parker will be held on Monday, June 26th at 10:30 a.m.

Hopkins House will be hosting a free Dinner and Concert on Saturday, June 24th

Hopkins House will be hosting a concert on their courtyard with BBQ and hometown sounds featuring Dale Cummings on Saturday, June 24th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be free BBQ and fixings.  Please bring your lawn chairs.

Community Seeds is hosting a celebration at Nissan of Greenville on Saturday, June 24th

Community Seeds is hosting a celebration at Nissan of Greenville on Saturday, June 24th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  There will be activities for the whole family including bounce houses, rock climbing, and a petting zoo.  Food will be provided by Chick-fil-a, and they will also offer popcorn, snow cones, and cotton candy.  They are also giving away gift cards, prizes, and more!

Taco Bueno will host their Ribbon Cutting Celebration and Grand Opening on Tuesday, June 27th at noon.  Make plans to come by and welcome Taco Bueno and enjoy some delicious samplings of their food!

The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation is having a BBQ Lunch Fundraiser on Wed., June 28th

To Celebrate Independence Day, the Foundationettes of the Hopkins county Health Care Foundation, will be selling BBQ Sack Lunches on Wednesday, June 28th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $5 each.  Your lunch includes a sandwich, chips, a pickle, and a cookie.  Delivery is available for pre-orders only.  Please place pre-orders by noon on Tuesday, June 27th by calling The Health Care Foundation at (903) 438-4799 or emailing Betty at bettyf@hcmh.com  Proceeds will benefit the associates of CHRISTUS-SS.

FBC will host an Adult Vacation Bible School June 26-29 at the ROC from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

First Baptist Church will host an Adult Vacation Bible School on June 26-29 at the Sulphur Springs First Baptist Church ROC on 115 Putman Street.  The 2017 theme is “GALACTIC STARVEYORS”.  The Bible teacher will be J K Crain and the crafts leader will be Melba Crain.  Each session will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  All adults in the community are invited to attend.  There will be a time of fellowship, Bible study refreshments and crafts.

Hopkins House will host a ribbon cutting celebration and Grand Opening for their Massage Spa for residents and community. Come by and check out this wonderful new enhancement to Hopkins House!

Ladies Night Out is slated for Tuesday, June 27th at 6:30 p.m. at The Oaks

Marlene’s Sass and Class, Gourmet Kitchen & Co., and The Oaks Bed & Breakfast are teaming up to host a Taste of Style Ladies Night Out.  The event will be held on Tuesday, June 27th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Oaks Bed & Breakfast located at 516 Oak Avenue.  Admission is $20 per person, or you can reserve a table of six for $105.  You will enjoy fashions by Marlene’s Sass & Class, delicious appetizers and desserts by Gourmet Kitchen & Co., and there will be goody bags and prizes given away throughout the night.  A grand prize of a one night stay at the Oaks and dinner for 2 at Redneck Steak House will also be given that night. What a fun event!

Tully Insurance is hosting a Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting on Friday, June 30th at noon

Make sure you go by Tully Insurance on Friday, June 30th, at noon, to congratulate the Tully’s on their Grand Re-Opening!  They will have prizes and refreshments! Tully Insurance is located at 109 Jefferson Street in Sulphur Springs.

26th Anniversary of the Independence Day Celebration on Celebration Plaza slated for Saturday, July 1st

Mark your calendars for a stunning and memorable night of a free concert and fireworks presented by the Sulphur Springs Symphony League.  The concert begins at 8:00 p.m. with fireworks to immediately follow. It is an event that should not be missed.  Bring your families, your lawn chairs, or your picnic blankets and enjoy the sights and sounds of Independence Day in Hopkins County.

Trinity Harvest is hosting a Gospel Singing Fundraiser on July 7th

Trinity Harvest, located at 1150 Shannon Road E in Sulphur Springs, is hosting a Gospel Singing Fundraiser.  They will start the evening with BBQ for $5 per person at 6 p.m.  The Gospel Singing portion of the night will begin at 7 p.m., and entrance is by donation.  Featured on this night are: Dustin May, The Hines Family, Laurenda Yoder.  There will also be a silent auction from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Please make plans to enjoy this wonderful night!

SatPro Wireless hosts Ribbon Cutting with New Owners

SatPro Wireless held their Ribbon Cutting Celebration on Wednesday, June 21st, to announce the new owners, Jake and Krista Morrill.  SatPro is located at 1602 South Broadway Street in Sulphur Springs.  SatPro offers satellite services and internet services for residential homes.
