As unique as it is traditional, May 7th, 2017, Enchanted Bride Festival hosts the first ever outdoor Bridal Festival.

Weather in Texas is always a concern, but like good Texans we’ve consulted the Farmer’s Almanac. The average temperature for May 7th is a fabulous 70 degrees and it has not rained on that day in 25 years! Having an outside festival allows the décor to be expansive, the scents to carry and the sounds to envelope the day. The theme is magical and the design encompasses and enhances nature at every turn.

The streets surrounding the recently revitalized square in Downtown Sulphur Springs will be filled with music, artisans, ballroom dance lessons, a string trio, carriages and trolleys, hor d’oeuvres, cake and beverage samples, and wedding vendors from across the United States. Attention to detail, enchanted activities and theme based imagery create a sense of excitement that will be cherished and shared among guests, and brides will connect and feel the spirit of their “big” day becoming more than a dream.

The local and talented artisans of East Texas will bring unique designs and gifts to entertain all of the guests.

This festival boasts an all-day Paparazzi style runway gown show featuring dynamic gown displays with guest model Angelica-Jasmine Bates, Miss Spring, with the Miss Texas and Miss America Scholarship Organization. Guests will find workshops in etiquette, romance and marriage, wine pairing, spa treatments and facials, more than 50 vendors, the one and only Honeymoon for a Year giveaway and the “Newly Engaged” gameshow that will test the couples intimate knowledge of their soon to be spouse. .

It is said that if you make time for a date a week, a weekend a month and a week a year with your spouse you will stay married forever. Honeymoons are too short, so we created the Honeymoon for a Year! Make the first year a bonding, getting to know each other better year. Extend the romance and start good habits now.

The lucky winner takes a monthly trip to one of 12 beautiful, easily accessible locations and spends a week at the Honeymoon Cabin at Beavers Bend Creative Escapes with boat rides, dinner and other lake activities .  Brides-to-be can enter by visiting www.enchantedbridefestival.com.

The day begins with complimentary mimosas. Brides will register and then choose their activities for the day … a professional photo shoot, spray tan, trolley tour, carriage ride, make-up lesson, eye lash extension session, ballroom dancing, massage, or prepare to model a gown on the runway-Paparazzi style!  First come, first signed up…

This all-day event is open to the public but some activities are reserved for brides (of course).

Weddings are a $100 billion dollar a year industry with 2.4 million marriages annually and these statistics detail what Brides-to-Be are shopping for at these events:

57% caterer, 50% engagement ring, 86% wedding bands, 92% bridal gowns, 91% wedding party gifts, 96% flowers, 91% photographer, 80% videographer, 89% invitations, 90% Formal Wear, 78% music orchestra DJ, 86% two or more limousines, 90% luggage, 81% rental car for honeymoon, 28% Cruise, 86% Furniture, 88% tabletop, Indian percent small electronics, 79% carpeting, 36% register with a bridal registry…~ Bride & Beyond, 2004

Rain or shine, the show must go on! If there is a drizzle- we will use our umbrellas and the downtown theater for the gown show- If it storms we will move to the Hopkins County Civic Center.

This event is made possible by volunteers and businesses who have a passion for weddings and a desire to see brides have the wedding of their dreams.
