Lady Trojans of Cumby Lose to Honey Grove

The Lady Trojans of Cumby fell to Honey Grove tonight to fall 2-2 in district play. Carly Talley was the losing pitcher with 5 walks and 3 strikeouts. Paige Seely came in relief and issued 3 walks. Alyssa Morgan went 1-2 with an infield single while Laura Rector went 1-1 with a walk and an infield single. Sydney Spillers went 2-2 with 2 singles. The Lady Trojans held Honey Grove to only five runs through the third inning, but the Lady Warriors’ bats came alive in the fourth and ended the game with a score of 15-0. The Lady Trojans meet the Lady Blue Devils of Celeste Tuesday at 11am in Celeste.
