Cumby Lady Trojan Softball Team Defeats Roxton 32-0

Cumby Lady Trojans opened District 14-2A play with a win over Roxton 32-0. Carly Talley pitched a 3-inning perfect no-hitter. She and catcher Bailey Busby were the only Lady Trojans to touch the ball defensively. Talley had 7 strikeouts and caught an infield fly, while the other out was an automatic out due to an injured player not able to bat. All Lady Trojans reached base and scored in the game. Alyssa Morgan had 2 walks and 2 doubles. Paige Seely walked 3 times, and had a single and a double. Bailey Busby had 4 walks and an RBI sacrifice fly. Carly Tally took 3 walks and 2 singles. Alysse Bullock had 4 walks. Laura Rector walked once and had 2 singles. Martina Gonzalez took 2 walks, a single, and reached base after a dropped third strike. Abby Baxter was hit by a pitch and walked. Rosalyne Owens walked and reached on a fielder’s choice.
