Sulphur Springs Woman Arrested for Injury to Child After Child Tests Positive for Methamphetamine

Special Crimes Unit Investigators arrested 24 year old Courtney Leigh Plunkett for Injury to Child yesterday. SCU assisted CPS with an investigation involving Plunkett’s 8 month old child testing positive for methamphetamine. The child’s methamphetamine levels were higher than the mother’s leading detectives to believe the child was being exposed dailty to methamphetamine. Plunkett is being held on $50,000 bond.
