The Yantis Owls showed great strength at bat, early in the game, managing a 5-1
lead, early on.

It was high school baseball "at its finest" in Cumby, on Friday night, as the Trojans hosted the Yantis Owls in one of the last district games of the season. The Yantis Owls led as much as 5-1, but saw their lead "chip away" as the Cumby Trojans persevered and managed to claim victory with at narrow 7-6 lead, in the final analysis of the game. "It doesn't get much sweeter than this!" proclaimed one of the Trojan fans, who saw their home team struggle early in the game, but persevere and claim a victory.

This score helped the Cumby Trojans continue to come from behind and claim the final victory, in
Friday night's game.

The Owls showed extreme strength at the bat, early in the game, but  a series of errors and some missed queues, saw their lead drift away.

"You'll have to give it to the Cumby team, they never gave up, and continued to 'whittle' at the lead, and managed to beat us!" proclaimed a devoted Yantis Owl's fan. "It was heartbreaking to have the lead and watch it slip away!"

Ty Davis was on the mound for the Yantis Owls for the early portion of the game.

And, Allen Rose took over, during the mid-point of the game...
