Yantis Owls and Lady Owls Cross
The Sabine and Take Wins in Fruitvale, Saturday

The Yantis Owls and Lady Owls boarded a bus on Saturday, while many of us were still enjoying the New Year's holiday, and crossed the Sabine River, as they traveled to Fruitvale, to begin district play. And, it was quite a productive trip, as they both brought home wins to begin the season.

 

 

 

 

The Lady Owls defeated the Lady Bobcats 49-28, in a solid win and outstanding play.

 

 

In the boy's game, the Bobcats proved to be a formidable opponent for the Owls, but aggressive play and outstanding three-point shots brought the 59-52 win home for the Yantis team.
