Yantis "All Decked-Out" For Autumn

The City of Yantis has embraced the autumn season in a "real way" as merchants have decorated their businesses for the season and created a beautiful display of pumpkins, mums, and traditional fall decorations for everyone to enjoy. "If you haven't been to downtwon Yantis lately, you need to make the trip," advised Tonya Norris, City Secretary. "With the cooler temperatures this week, it seems like everyone is excited and got out and decorated their store fronts. It is quite an attractive and inviting atmosphere in downtown Yantis!"

 

 

This beautiful and patriotic seasonal display is at D&J Tire and Lube, in downtown Yantis.

 

 

"Beautiful pumpkins, shocks of corn stalks, mums in autumn colors, and fall leaves are everywhere!" exclaimed another resident of Yantis. "It just makes it more fun for everyone coming into town!"

 

 

 

"I appreciate all of the effort that everyone is making to make it attractive in Yantis!" exclaimed Yantis Mayor, Jerry Miller. "It's inviting to the many visitors that we have coming to Yantis and to all of those that pass through on Highway-154. It shows our community pride and that we want people to stop, shop, and visit!"

 

Melanie Rose has this blend of antiques and autumn decor at her "All Mixed Up" florist in Yantis.

 

 

"Community pride has never been a problem in Yantis," expressed Miller. "Everyone is always out backing the Yantis Owls and Lady Owls and all of the hard work that they make at the school, but it is so nice to see all of the businesses join together and offer an inviting atmosphere to people coming to Yantis!"

 

 

 

 

In support of the autumn decorations in Yantis, Front Porch News Texas, is offering a prize for the "Best Deocorated Business in Yantis." A panel of judges will be going through Yantis on October 15th and select this year's winner! Make certain that your decorations are completed and ready to be judged on October 15th!!!
