Yantis Owls Fall to Emory Rains

by: Bobby McDonald

Coach Chris Hightower took his Yantis Owls across Lake Fork to a heated match-up with the Emory Rains Wildcats, in Emory, on Friday night, only to have to travel home with a loss. Emory Rains claimed the 55-32 victory and with two Yantis Owls, Junior, Ty Davis and Sophomore, Pecos Hurley in "double-digits," it still wasn't enough over a very physical and quick Wildcat team.

Ty Davis led the Yantis effort with three, 3 pt. shots, and 13 total points.

Davis was "hot" with three 3-pointers in his 13 points to the cause and Hurley added another ten points to the effort.

Sophomore Pecos Hurley contributed 10 points to the Yantis effort, also.
