Christmas Snowstorm
in the Panhandle
by: Bobby McDonald
Snow drifts up to over two feet tall and covering everything, greeted residents and travelers in the Panhandle ot Texas, on Christmas Eve morning. The snow had moved into the area on Wednesday night and made travel perilous, as high winds blew the snow into drifts along roadways, fences, and across highway. Several roads were closed and traffic snarls were everywhere, as the storm progressed.

"We'll definitely have a white Christmas, here in the Panhandle," expressed one resident. "It's just going to be trouble traveling from place to place and getting all of the cattle and livestock fed!"
