Wildcats Dominate Greenville Lions, 56-0
by: Bobby McDonald
It wasn't much of a challenge when our neighbors to the west, the Greenville Lions, came to town on Friday night. The team that has struggled all season and a small number of fans came to town and the Wildcats dominated the game, from the beginning. "I looked up and I believe it was the fastest first quarter I've ever experienced in football," exclaimed Wildcat Cheerleader Sponsor, Missy Caddell. "There were few penalties and the clock ran!"
In a complete reversal of last week's difficult night in Sherman, everything the Wildcats did, turned to points. They captured almost 400 yards of offense, for the night and allowed less than 100 for the Lions. "I almost got tired of seeing us go across the goal line," exclaimed one devoted fan. "Not quite, but almost! You felt sorry for the Greenville team that has struggled all season with problems and are definitely in a 'building mode.' However, the Wildcats played hard and deserved the scores!"
"We'll take the District win, but it was the perfect opportunity to let some of our guys get some playing experience," expressed Greg Owens. "Greenville is now 0-6 for the season and you can't help but feel their pain, as they attempt to build their program!"

The Wildcats will travel to Mt. Pleasant next week, which regardless of the talent on the field, is always a great match-up, between the two longtime rivals!
