Weaver Man Perishes in
Tuesday Afternoon Fire

A 61 year old Hopkins County man perished in a structure fire on Tuesday afternoon, near Weaver. "We received a call from a third party, on Tuesday afternoon, concerned about the welfare of a 61 year old Hopkins County man," reported Hopkins County Sheriff, Butch Adams. "Officers responded and found the man inside the vacant home and it engulfed in flames."

Local volunteer fire departments were called to the scene and the man's body was found inside the structure. "We don't have definite information yet," explained Adams. "We'll be waiting on forensic information and autopsy reports, before ruling in the case."

The older home was completely destroyed by the fire and the victim was sent for autopsy reports.
