
UPRA Rodeo Names Champions
In Sulphur Springs, Sunday Night

After three intense performances by cowboys and cowgirls throughout the Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma areas, the top cowgirls and cowboys were recognized for the year, at a banquet held in the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center, on Sunday night, following the last performance.
Top money earners and saddle winners were as follows:
All- Around Cowgirl - Cassie Ward, with $9,809.68.
All-Around Cowboy - Quincy Kuckelhan with $16,182.53.
Bareback Bronc Riding - Troy Nail
Rookie of the Year - Taylor Price
Tie Down Calf Roping - Clint Akins

Highest paying rodeo of the year went to Mexia Area Chamber of Commerce Rodeo, in Mexia, Texas.
Stock Contractor of the year was awarded to Flying C Rodeo Company, Will, Karen, Todd, and Casey Cook, of Madill, Oklahoma.
Bareback Horse of the Year was #193 "Big Squall" of Wing Rodeo Company.
Saddle Bronc Horse of the Year was #3221 "Wind Star" of Flying C Rodeo Company.
Bucking Bull of the Year went to #8 "Body Works" owned by Champion Rodeo Company.
