United Way Disperses Additional Funds
In Time For Holidays

It was a grand announcement on Wednesday afternoon, when John Sellers, 2008 United Way Campaign Chairman, was able to reveal that $35,125.00 would be dispersed to those local agencies that receive funds from the United Way Campaign. "This represents a 25% increase in their funds for the year!" explained Sellers. "And, it's right here in time for the holidays when many of these agencies are receiving heavy demand for aid and assistance!"

Sellers explained that the funds represented an overage from the 2008 Campaign goals and that the board had voted to give each of the agencies 25% additional funds, above their normal allocation. "It's our policy to return the funds to the community, where they are needed," stated Sellers. "That's what the funds are for and we want them back out in the community helping people!"

"It's great to be able to live in a community, where people think of others," continued 2009 Campaign Chair, Deborah Evans. "We're so blessed to have a giving community and one that puts the needs of others first!"

"And, the checks are in the mail!" declared Sellers. "They were mailed yesterday, and the agencies should be receiving them this week!"

"We just want to thank everyone who continues to make the local United Way Campaign such a success," inserted Evans. "Hopefully, I'll be back, this time next year to allocate some additional funds, again!"
