Saturday's "Twist For Life" Bike Rally
Benefits Local Charities
by: Bobby McDonald
It will be a fortunate student at Yantis High School, who will benefit from part of the proceeds raised on Saturday at the annual "Twist For Life" Bike Rally, hosted by friends and family in memory of local resident, Dalton McKeever. The annual bike rally and poker run raises funds for a number of local charities and serves to keep the memory of a friend and neighbor alive, in the community.
Ty and Audra McKeever, children of Dalton McKeever, were on-hand for Saturday's rally, held
in memory of their father, and to raise funds for local charities.
Saturday's rally began at the VFW Post in Sulphur Spring and was completed in Yantis, where part of the proceeds will be given to the Yantis Volunteer Fire Department.

Additionally, organizers announced that this year part of the proceeds would be given to local resident, Jackie Fouse, who is battling breast cancer.
"Dalton loved to ride his motorcycle and had a host of wonderful friends," stated Carol McKeever, his widow. "It's an opportunity for us to remember him and to help others who are in need!"
Saturday's rally attracted some 50 riders, who rode throughout the area and met their destination in Yantis. This year's ride raised over $3400.00 for local charities.
Carol McKeever, back row, left, widow of Dalton McKeever, was on hand to greet guests, friends,
and family members, as she helped with registration at Saturday's rally.
