Three SSISD Board Members
File For Re-Election Monday

Three Sulphur Springs I.S.D. Board members wasted no time in filing for re-election, as by noon Monday, all three, Foy Williams, Kerry Wright, and Clay Johnson, had thrown their "hat" into the race, on the first day they could file for the seats.

Foy Williams will be seeking a third term on the SSISD Board of Trustees, while Johnson is seeking his second term on the board. Kerry Wright, has filled an unexpired term, vacated by Carolyn Thomas, will be seeking his first full term, on the board.

Those seeking a position on the board have until March 8th, 2010, at 5:00 p.m., to file for a position on the ballot. They must file at the Sulphur Springs I.S.D. Administration Office, on Connally Street, in Sulphur Springs.

School board election day will be May 8th, 2010, with early voting to begin on April 26th and extend through weekdays, until May 4th.
