part of the proceeds from this year's event.

Owner/operator of Terror Trails south of Yantis, Gary Hughes met with those who had helped with this year's month long production and invited guests at Verona's Italian Restaurant on Lake Fork, Tuesday night, to celebrate a successful year and to give back to the community a part of this year's proceeds. "We depend on the help of the community to host Terror Trails and this thirteenth year was no exception," exclaimed Hughes. "And, we're happy to present checks to both the Yantis Volunteer Fire Department and the Lake Fork Lions Club, who helped us throughout this year's event."

Hughes stated that the first year, a total of 630 people attended Terror Trails, and now thirteen years later, 630 people is a "slow night" of attendance at the event. "The event has certainly continued to grow and offers a way for people in the area to enjoy the Halloween holiday, and employs a crew of 40-45 people, mostly youth, who need the extra money to help with their school and personal expenses," stated Hughes. "Then, we have from 60-70 people volunteering from your organizations to help with parking, crowd control, and moving people from place to place!"

Hughes then presented the Yantis Volunteer Fire Department with a $13,000.00 check and the Lake Fork Lions Club with a $2,000.00 check to use in the programs that they represent. "We hope to even have more to share next year!" remarked Hughes.

The Lake Fork Lions Club was also presented with a check as a beneficiary of part of the proceeds
of this year's event.
