Como-Pickton "TOTS" Team Performs
At Halftime
by: Bobby McDonald
Members of the youth Teams of Tomorrow (TOTS) Team at Como-Pickton, were the featured performers at halftime of the Girls Basketball match-up with Cooper, on Tuesday night. The team, made-up of elementary school aged children, in the Como-Pickton area, are coached to develop coordination and ball handling skills, and they've certainly "mastered" the experience. Tuesday night, they entertained the audience with outstanding skills as they performed with both one and two basketballs for the crowd.

"I think once upon a time I might have been able to do that," quipped Polly Swatsell, from the audience. "But, it's been so long ago, that I've probably forgotten how to do it!"
The youth performed a number of maneuvers with first one basketball, and then began doing dribbling drills with two balls, to the delight of the crowd.

"It's great experience for the kids and teaches them a number of fundamental basketball skills, while having fun," expressed Como-Pickton Principal, Penny Armstrong. "As you can see, the students are having a great time and learning about playing basketball at the same time!
Tuesday night's performance certainly delighted the crowd from both the home Como-Pickton area, and the Cooper fans, as well.
Congratulations,
Como-Pickton TOTS!!!!
