Teachers Begin New School Year, Monday
by: Luis Rasgado
It was back to the classroom for teachers all across Hopkins County, as they began the 2010-11 school year on Monday morning. They will have the week to attend in-service training and prepare their classrooms for the school year, that begins next Monday for students. "We're looking forward to seeing the students and beginning a successful year," related one returning teacher. "But, like the students, we have a hard time getting back into the routine, and have to have a few days to get things ready!"
The halls are empty and dark, this week, but will be "alive" next Monday, when students
return to classes.

And, these seats will be occupied by students next Monday.....
Teachers at Como-Pickton School arrived on Monday morning, as they joined teachers all across Hopkins County, and they began with an orientation meeting, with updates on policy and rule changes for the upcoming year.
These Como-Pickton Teachers began Monday with an orientation meeting in the school library.
