Local Woman Arrested For Injury To A Child

 

 

Detective Bo Fox., detective with the Sulphur Springs Police Department,  following an investigation, arrested a 30 year old Sulphur Springs woman, by the name of Melissa Stewart, Thursday morning. A local daycare facility notified CPS after the 10 month old child was dropped off and was found with injuries to  the head. CPS reported the incident to the police when her story didn't add up to the child's injuries saying " the boy had fallen." After the police investigated, the woman came in and confessed to Detective Bo Fox that "she was getting the boy dressed and he kicked her and she became upset."

The accused woman is being held in Hopkins County Jail on 3rd degree felony charges for injury to a child.
