

SSISD Board Meets
Monday Night
A regular meeting of the Sulphur Springs ISD school board was held Monday, November 8, 2010.
PUBLIC FORUM
No one requested to address the Board during Public Forum.
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS
Richard Crump, Claycomb Associates, Architects, gave the Board an update on construction of
the multi-purpose building and new middle school campus. Copies of the update will be posted on the district website.
Judy Tipping reported that Sulphur Springs ISD’s contribution to the United Way campaign totaled $9,881.05.
Randy Reed gave a progress report on No Child Left Behind. He said that the district’s percentage of highly qualified teachers is 99.51% due to the fact that a high school teacher who is certified in biology is now having to teach 3 sections of IPC and is not IPC certified.

2010-2011 School Improvement Plan (SIP) for Sulphur Springs High School.
District Improvement Plan for the 2010-2011 school year.
Head Start Community Assessment for 2010-2011 school year.
Appointed Jacquelyn Brice to serve as Head Start liaison for the 2010-2011 school year.
Appointed Judy Gillem to serve in one of two Sulphur Springs ISD positions on the Hopkins County Civic Center Board of Directors.
