Results from the Athens Winter Classic UIL Invitational Meet

Dec. 11-12, 2009

 

In Number Sense, Karina Rosales placed 4th individually.  She, Rebecca Sehnert, and Drew Thomas earned 3rd place team.

 

In Calculator, Katie Hu placed 4th individually.  She, Jeff Spears, and Drew Thomas earned 3rd place team.

 

In Science, Tyler Aaron placed 4th and Arthur Harbin placed 6th individually.  Rebecca Sehnert helped them out for a 2nd place team win.

 

In Journalism, Autumn Keiss earned 1st place and Miguel Ibarra earned 3rd place in Feature Writing, Katy Mason earned 1st place and Brendan Killian Earned 5th in Headline Writing, and Brendan Killian won 6th place in News writing.  Their combined efforts earned them 2nd place team.

 

In computer Applications, Courtne Anderson earned 3rd place and Jessica Cowley earned 4th place.

 

In Computer Science, Connor McCorkle earned 1st place, Jeff Spears earned 2nd place, Taylor Ausbrooks earned 3rd place, and Kade Koon earned 6th places.  Their efforts scored them a first place team win.

 

In Accounting, Sam Long placed 1st, Kyle Mathes placed 2nd, and Dakoda Painter placed 3rd individually and 1st as a team.

 

In Current Events, Cole Cable placed 1st and Sam long placed 2nd.  Bailee Petty pitched in to help earn a 1st place team victory.

 

In Literary Criticism, Katy Mason placed 2nd, Leah Hayes placed 3rd, and Colby Carter placed 4th.  The team also won 1st place.

 

In Spelling and Vocabulary, Lyndsi Bible won 4th and Ashley Clegg won 6th individually and Cole Cable kicked in to help win 1st team.

 

In Ready Writing, Emily Mason earned 3rd place and Autumn Keiss Earned 5th place individually.

 

In Social Studies, Cole Cable earned 1st place, Katy Mason earned 2nd place, and Sam long earned 6th place.  They also scored a 1st place team win.

 

The Wildcat UIL Academic Team also brought home the 1st place sweepstakes trophy.
