Class Salutatorian, Brandon Harry, gives the welcome.

It was the culmination of what began for many of the 241 SSHS Seniors, in the fall of 1995, when they entered kindergarten. And, Saturday night marked the "commencement of the rest of their lives," as family, friends, and supporters, along with teachers and administrators, witnessed the receiving of their high school diplomas. One of the largest crowds ever assembled in the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center, was on-hand to witness the event.

Class Valedictorian, Jake Russell, gives the valedictory address.

It was standing-room only, in the Civic Center, as members of the class gave the welcome, valedictory address, and Sulphur Springs High School Principal John McCullough presented the class. Don Sapaugh, president of the SSISD Board of Education, presented the diplomas.

As soon as the last name was read, "silly string" and whoops of excitement errupted from the Class of 2009, as they celebrated the occasion. An all-night graduation party was stage for the senior class, with donations from local businesses, parents, and supporters.

Congratulations
Class of 2009!!!
