Largest Crowd of Year in Civic Center
Witnesses SSHS Graduation

Sulphur Springs High School Principal, John McCullough, called the roll of 264 seniors who
received diplomas, Saturday night.

 

In what was termed the largest crowd of the year in the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center, parents, grandparents, teachers, friends and supporters came on Saturday night to witness the graduation of 264 seniors, in commencement exercises from Sulphur Springs High School.

Members of the senior class of 2010, entered the converted "rodeo arena" to "Pomp and Circumstance" and the presentation of colors was conducted by the Hopkins County Military Coalition. Senior choir members sang "The Star Spangled Banner" and senior Paul Clark offered the invocation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Student Body President and Class Salutatorian, Lyndsi Bible, offered the welcome as she encouraged her fellow classmates to "live big and profitable!"

 

 

 

Class Valedictorian, Kathryn Mason, offered words of encouragement from Dr. Seuss, in her Valedictory address.

 

 

Class member, Kelsey Brown, sang an accompanied herself, as she presented "Time of Your Life."

 

 

 

High School Principal, John McCullough then called the roll of graduates, as Clay Johnson, President of SSISD School Board presented the coveted diplomas.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Following the final presentation to Mason Y'Barbo, the class sang the "Alma Mater" and threw their caps into the air, amidst silly string and shouts of joy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lyndsi Bible offered the Benediction and the class was dismissed to a fulfilling life, everlasting.
