"A Touch of Autumn" at Saturday's
Flea Market & Farmer's Market
by: Bobby McDonald

Saturday's Flea Market on the Square and Farmer's Market was "all decked out" with pumpkins, fall wreaths, and garden mums, despite the temperatures reaching 90 degrees and making the afternoon feel almost like summer again, as a "heat wave" moved through Hopkins County. However, a large crowd of shoppers came out and took advantage of the downtown activities, some purchasing their fall decor and a variety of fruits and vegetables. Others took advantage of the vendors at the Flea Market and purchased a number of items in the festive atmosphere. "We had large crowd," denoted Rita Edwards, President of the Downtown Business Alliance. "And, seems like everyone had a wonderful time in downtown Sulphur Springs. The weather should be cooler by the next Flea Market in November!"
