Senior Center Conducts Alzheimers
Mini Walk on Thursday

It was a big day at the Hopkins County Senior Citizen's Center, on Thursday, where attendees conducted the first of the 2009 Mini Walks for the Alzheimers Association. This year's theme is "A Walk to Remember."

"We had 23 people participate in this year's walk," expressed a jubilant Karon Weatherman, as she reported on the event. "We raise approximately $600.00 with the walk and want to thank all those who donated."

This year's main Alzheimers Walk will be conducted at the Gardens at Memorial on October 22, 2009, at 5:30 p.m. The walk is sponsored by the Sulphur Spring Pilot Club and funds raised will be donated to the local Terrific Tuesdays Program, to help promote and conduct that worthwhile event for Alzheimers patients.
