Scouting For Dinner
by: Bobby McDonald
A large crowd of supporters joined the Boy Scouts of America in the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center, on Tuesday night, for the annual fundraising effort known as "Scouting for Dinner." Guests began arriving at 6:00 p.m., where local restaurants had their foods displayed for sampling and consumption at a number of stations, around the Civic Center exhibition hall. Guests traveled from station to station, sampling the locally produced fare.

Local Boy Scout, Talon Bell, "checks out" the silent auction items.

Meanwhile, the Boy Scouts had collected items from a number of other businesses in town for a silent auction, to raise funds, as well.
"We had a great crowd tonight!" expressed local Boy Scout leader, James Law. "Thanks to all of the food vendors and donators to this event. Without their support, this large event could not be hosted to benefit our local youth, in their many endeavors!"
