It's Moliere's "Scams of Scapin" that the Texas A&M University-C Theater Arts classes have chosen for their spring production at the Texas A&M University-C Playhouse. The production opens on Thursday night, April 29th and continues with nightly performances at 8:00 p.m., thru Saturday, May 1st. A Sunday afternoon matinee performance will be hosted at 3:00 p.m., on May 2nd.

The lead role of "Scapin" is expertly played by Micah Haynes, as he portrays the scheming servant, charged with keeping two your aristocrats "out of trouble" during their wild and formative years. The young artistocrats, Leandre, played by Victor Rodriguez, and Octave, played by Jacob Layton, find love in the "wrong places" and must convince their father's that the young women are worthy of their affection. Scapin befriends and tries to help them convince their fathers that they have made the right choices, while attempting to "make a healthy profit for himself!"

Of course, Scapin's plan "backfires" several times throughout the three acts of the play.
