Advancing to Area Competition
by: Bobby McDonald
It was celebration time for the cast and crew of Sulphur Bluff's One-Act Play, at about 7:00 on Wednesday night, as they went to eat and rejoice in their accomplishment. The performace on Wednesday afternoon, at 1:00 p.m., at Paris Junior College, in Paris, garnered the group an advancement to Area Competition, on April 10th.
"We couldn't be more excited!" exclaimed Sulphur Bluff Theater Teacher and Director, Moorea Coker. "The kids did a great job and all the hard work and practice paid-off, as we were chosen to advance to the area competition. We're doing just a little bit of celebrating tonight!"

Cast member, Royce Naylor, a senior at Sulphur Bluff High School,
was named "Best Actor" for his performance in "Asylum," Wednesday,
at Regional Competition, at PJC.

In addition to the play advancing to the next level of competition, cast member, Royce Naylor was chosed "Best Actor," and Jaime Formoso and Rebecca Naylor were named to the All-Star Cast. Lucas Ivey and Austin Fitzgerald were chosen for Honorable Mention All-Star Cast, also.
"It's a great honor to be advancing, over some of the productions that were presented, and now we must go home and practice some more, before the next level of competition," advised Coker. "We'll need to 'brush-up' on a few areas and perfect the production for the area competition!"
Congratulations,
Sulphur Bluff One-Act Play!!!
