Sulphur Bluff ISD Names Top Grads
and Presents Class of 2009

The Valedictorian of the 2009 Class at Sulphur Bluff High School is Zachary Hope, son of Pam Hope. Zachary is an Eagle Scout and was elected president of his senior class. He has also served as president of the Sulphur Bluff Beta Club. He participated in the UIL Informative Speaking Contest and was a member of the Bear Varsity Cross Country and Track Teams. He participated in the 2009 Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce High School Leadership Class and has been on the Honor Roll and is a dual credit student. Zachary plans to attend Paris Junior College and then tranfer to a four-year university, with plans to pursue a degree in finance. He hopes to continue his education and receive a master's degree in business administration, with a career plan of being a financial advisor.

Class Salutatorian at Sulphur Bluff is Everett Wilder, son of Bill and Gina Wilder, of Sulphur Bluff. Everett has been a member of Boy Scouts of America and is currently working on his Eagle Scout. He's a member of the Sulphur Bluff Beta Club and participated in UIL events. He is a state qualifier on the Bear Varsity Cross Country Team and has already qualified for Regional in Varsity Track, with hopes of advancing to the State competition. Everett was a member of the 2009 Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class and has been an Honor Roll and dual credit student. Everett's career plans include attending Stephen F. Austin University, pursing a degree in mathematics and becoming a commercial pilot.
