Sulphur Bluff FFA Receives
State Officer Visit, on Wednesday

From Sulphur Bluff School

Sulphur Bluff FFA members were pleased with a visit on Wednesday from Mason Parish Texas FFA President, Dylan Koster 1st Vice President, and Tanner Smith Area VI State Officer as they made an appearance at the Sulphur Bluff School. They brought greetings from the Texas FFA and gave some motivational words about perseverance, and persistence in accomplishing goals. They also discussed the many opportunities that are available in the FFA programs.

Sulphur Bluff students were interested in the many travels that the state officers have encountered around the state, while serving the Texas FFA and learned about the various areas of participation that each of the officers has been involved with. State officers answered questions and "hung out" with the Sulphur Bluff FFA as a travel tour through Northeast Texas, in Areas V and VI.

"I challenge each of you to be involved in your local community and to take advantage of all of the many, many activities that the FFA program offers," encouraged Mason Parish, State FFA President. "I travel all across the state of Texas and see the leadership capabilities that this organization teaches, that will prepare our generation for the future, and it all begins with accepting those responsibilities in your local chapter and assuming the role of a leader!"

Sulphur Bluff High School students assembled to hear the challenges from Texas State FFA Officers, on Wednesday.

"From Chapter Conducting Teams, to Skills Teams, Public Speaking, and Ag Issues, each of you have a place in this organization, to develop leadership qualities, that our world so desperately needs today!" admonished Parish. "You have an obligation to yourself and your community to accept these leadership challenges!"
