Sulphur Bluff Beta competed lastweek at the state convention
in San Antonio. The electronic scrapbook headed up by Minerva
Marquez won first place. The
character sketch contest also won first place. This is the first time The Bluff has ever competed in the
character sketch and were thrilled to bring
home a first place plaque. The sketch actors are-
Cindy Hatfield, Becca Naylor, Stephanie
Hogue, and Dustin Lawson.
The entire Beta Club will be traveling to
nationals in Louisville, KY, this summer. In
order to raise money for
that trip they will be having their annual Beta Stew so mark your calendar for Sunday,
January 31, at the Sulphur Bluff Community Center. Serving will begin at 11 AM. as always,
Don and Katie Patterson will be making the stew as they have done every year since
Beta’s inception.
