Sulphur Bluff Jr. High Bears Baseball Team.
Undefeated Jr. High Bears to Travel
To Chapel Hill to End Season
From Coach David Toon
The Sulphur Bluff Jr. High baseball team started out down three to zero after the 1st inning. In the top of the 2nd the Bears answered with four runs to take a four to three lead. In the top of the 3rd, the Bears scored a few more and never look back beating the Roxton lion's 11 to 4. The Bears had 8 hits and once Justin Goldsmith settled down in the 2nd inning it was enough for the win. Justin struck out fifteen batters and only had three walks. The leading hitters for the Bears were Dakota Emerson who went 2 for 3, and Hudson Northcutt went 2 for 4. Justin Goldsmith, Taylor Josey, Jaden Goldsmith, and Hunter Powers each had a single as well.
The Bears are still undefeated at 5-0 and will travel to Chapel Hill for the last game of the season next Friday, at 4:00.
