Sulphur Bluff 4th-Grader Pitches First Pitch
For Texas Rangers
Reprint from "Sulphur Bluff Bear Tracks"

Just like the Texas Rangers, one Hopkins County youth is certainly making history. He's Sulphur Bluff School, 4th Grader, Aaron Swanson, who pitched the first pitch at a Texas Rangers Game, last week. Aaron, the son of David Swanson, an employee of Grocery Supply Company, headquartered in Sulphur Springs, was given the opportunity to attend a Rangers game with his family, and pitch the first pitch at the game.
"It's just that much more special with the Texas Rangers winning their first division series in team history and advancing to the American League Championships," allowed David Swanson. "We want to thank Grocery Supply for making this possible and it certainly made one little boy, extremely happy! He's still 'floating on Cloud 9' and watching every move the Rangers make!"

David Swanson won the opportunity for the family outing, of four home-plate seats and the honor of his child to throw the first pitch, in a Grocery Supply promotional contest. And, Aaron also received a signed Nolan Ryan baseball card.
"Aaron is kind of the 'cock of the walk' at school, this week," exclaimed David. "It may take us a while to bring him down off this high!"
"We cheered the Rangers on at the game and it's certainly made this history-making season more relevant for Aaron and our entire family," continued David Swanson.
"Go Rangers!" was the message from Aaron, as he told his 4th Grade Class at Sulphur Bluff School, all about his trip to the game.
