Rotary Club Spreads Christmas Cheer
to Children at Noon Thursday
by: Bobby McDonald
It was loads of Christmas cheer for a group of children adopted by the Sulphur Springs Rotary Club, as they were showered with gifts that members purchased to make Christmas brighter for some that would not have had as much this Christmas. "It's the highlight of our year!" expressed Bob Weaver, Rotary Club member. "When you see the children's faces light up and they smile at receiving the gifts that we provide, it is one of the greatest joys you experience all year!"

The joy on the faces of the children are one of the highlights of the Rotary
Club member's Christmas season.

Children "nominated" by their teachers are provided gifts purchased by Rotary Club members and they enjoy lunch with the members in the Hopkins County Civic Center, as the regular monthly meeting. "We have so much fun playing Santa Claus," advised Rotary Club member, Yvonne King. "It's fun to get out and shop for the children we adopt and then to see them enjoy the gifts that we provide!"
Santa Claus arrived and passed out the gifts, calling each child's name, amidst Christmas carols and a delightful lunch, on Thursday.

But, then "Ol' Scrooge" comes around as Chris Vooheese is presented a
"bill" by Michael McAndrews!
