Abbott Speaker at Republican Conclave, Thursday
by: Bobby McDonald
It was Texas Attorney General Gregg Abbott that made his way to Sulphur Springs, on Thursday, for a noon Hot Dog Luncheon, in the Hopkins County Civic Center. Abbott, on a swing through Northeast Texas, stopped and met with party leaders and supporters, encouraging them to get out and vote and to keep the momentum going!
About 150 people came out to enjoy hot dogs and to hear Abbott speak.
"It was a great gathering of local Republicans," expressed Donnie Wisenbaker, Hopkins County Republican Chairman. "And, we were appreciative of Abbot coming and rallying the local supporters in Hopkins County."

"It's a great way to build enthusiam within the party and let the voters know what we stand for," advised Chris Brown, Candidate for Hopkins County Judge. "Gregg had a good message and helped to bolster local support!"
"It's the time in the campaign when workers need support and early voting has begun, so we need to get the message out," advised Brown. "Abbott told of the important issues that are represented on the November ballot, and asked for everyone to get out and vote!"
Everyone enjoyed hot dogs for lunch and the opportunity to visit with fellow Republicans.
