Press Release from local
Relay For Life Organization
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Hopkins County is just around the corner. Register your team, cancer survivor or caretaker today. Relay For Life is a fun-filled, overnight event that mobilized communities throughout the country to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones lost, and raise money for the fight against cancer.

Survivors and current cancer patients, caregivers, families, businesses, civic organizations, and the public are invited to take part in this exciting, team event. Relay For Life of Hopkins County takes place from 7:00 pm on May 1 until 7:00 am on May 2 and the Sulphur Springs Middle School Track. The Relay For Life of Hopkins County committee is asking that registration forms be turned in no later than Friday, April 3.
“We are thrilled to already have 187 Cancer Survivors registered for the 2009 Relay,” said Survivor Registration Chairperson, Joyce Davis. “Each registered Survivor and Caretaker receives a free t-shirt and are recognized during the opening laps of the Relay For Life on May 1. While we will continue to register folks up to the last minute, we need to go ahead and order t-shirts so they will be available to hand out prior to the Relay.”
